Fundraising for Naomi House Children’s Hospice (Wessex Children’s Hospice Trust).
Naomi House & Jacksplace hospices provide specialist hospice care to hundreds of life limited and life threatened children, young adults and their families from Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Berkshire, West Sussex, Surrey and the Isle of Wight. Our vision is that every child, young adult and their families receive the care services they need, when and where they need them and for as long as needed. That’s why we need your help. Every donation, no matter how big or small, can make a huge difference on good days, difficult days and last days.
Jack Igglesden of Radcliffe & Co had a walk planned which was in aid of Naomis House and Jacksplace, a children’s hospice in the south coast. The walk was Winchester Cathedral to Salisbury Cathedral which is 26.2miles. Due to the lockdown restrictions the walk was delayed. However, Jack, along with his partner Alice, decided to soldier on and do it anyway as they had been training for it.
They set off from Winchester Cathedral at 6:45am and had a very hilly walk down Clarendon Way and got to Salisbury Cathedral at 4:15pm. Walking time was 8hrs 11mins! So far, they have managed to raise an impressive £2,286!
For those of you with fitbits etc. the 26.2miles was 51,500 steps and they climbed about 340 flights of stairs and Jack burnt 5000 calories.
