Spring 2022 Newsletter

Summer is fast approaching and financial markets are looking to recover from the turmoil of Covid-19 and the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.

Equities and bonds have fallen again over the past weeks to levels consistent with recession, with bonds not offering their usual protection due to concerns around inflation and interest rate increases.

Also, the UK’s cost-of-living squeeze has intensified, with households saving less over the pandemic than those in other nations.

Please speak to your Independent Financial Adviser at Radcliffe in relation to your investment portfolio; they can provide you with up-to-date information from the market and answer any questions you may have.

Our Spring newsletter includes an Income Protection article written by our Protection Specialist, Charlotte Rogers, on why you should consider it and why now may be the best time to review your options. Also, we have included a Royal London guide on why you might want a Power of Attorney. To view these, please click below:

In other news, Radcliffe & Co continue their support for the Rose Road Association (https://www.roseroad.org.uk/) with various charity events. Earlier this year, several staff took part in the annual triathlon event which involved a 400m swim, 4km run and 15km cycle. Radcliffe raised around £750 which will support the important work the charity carries out, working with children and young adults with severe physical disabilities, learning difficulties and/or autism.

As well as being one of the sponsors of this event, Radcliffe were also the sponsor of the Beaulieu Picnic in the grounds of Beaulieu Motor Museum earlier in May, helping to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Rose Road Association.

Finally, coming up very soon two staff members will be walking 22 miles on the Test Way Walk in an effort to help raise £7,000 for Rose Road to celebrate their incredible anniversary.

Everyone at Radcliffe wishes them good luck!

Best regards
