Goodwood Rally Saturday 11th February 2012- Free spectating!
Radcliffe & Co’s very own Chris Selfe has entered a rally (The South Downs Stages) at Goodwood race circuit on 11th February.
There is no charge for spectator entry (which is almost unheard of in motorsport) and children are welcome. There are good spectating areas including access to the pit building roof if you fancy an aerial view. The ‘pit area’ is also open to spectators so you can have a good look at the cars.
The facilities are good and there are various food stalls available, wrap up warm though as there isn’t much shelter.
You are free to come and go as you please during the day, the rally starts at 9am and runs into darkness, finishing at about 7pm.
Goodwood Circuit is just northeast of Chichester in West Sussex. (Click here for a map). On arrival through the main gates, take the left turn to the car park.
Spectators must not drive through the vehicle tunnel. There is no space for parking on the ‘inside’ of the circuit.
There is a perimeter track which allows spectators to watch the event from the spectator banking anywhere around the circuit. This perimeter track is pedestrian only. Always stay behind the spectator fence and please obey any instructions from marshals or other officials. There is also a pedestrian tunnel under the start/finish straight which spectators can use to access the service area and the spectator viewing area on the roof of the pit buildings.
Motor sport is dangerous and we accept no liability.
